According to report from the Somali capital, Mogadishu, a car bomb has exploded at a check point by the national theatre in the city centre.
Some of them have tweeted the smoke rising over the city.
At least 5 people mostly civilians confirmed dead & several wounded when an explosive fitted car went off near a checkpoint at the national theatre in Mogadishu Somalia capital. No group has not yet claimed the responsibility for the attack.
Although a pro-al-Shabab news website reports that the Islamist militant group says it is behind the bombing.
It is not clear if there are any casualties, but ambulances are at the scene.
Al-Shabab, which is linked to al-Qaeda, was forced out of Mogadishu in 2011 but continues to mount regular attacks in the city.
