Mozambique: Overbilling in public works costs state more than EUR 3 million
The operational command of the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) has reinforced the hunt for the criminals creating instability in the northern province of Cabo Delgado, Noticias reports.
According to the Minister of the Interior, Jaime Basílio Monteiro, who has been monitoring the campaign against the killers in Cabo Delgado, the government is on track to put the protagonists of the attacks out of action, with the FDS intensifying a range of actions as well as its presence in the villages.
As the minister explained, the operational command has reinforced those already in the bush in Macomia and Quissanga hunting down the killers.
“We have a stronger presence. We made an analysis of what is happening on the ground and identified some weaknesses, and have reinforced the operations that are under way. The operational command in Macomia and Quissanga has been strengthened and is working to achieve early results,” the minister said.
Monteiro reports that, as well its active pursuit of the criminals, the noticeable and augmented presence of the FDS in all villages is ensuring security so that the population can carry out its regular daily activities.
Minister Monteiro is in on the ground in Cabo Delgado to evaluate the behaviour and consequence of the action of the attackers with depth and precision.Source: Notícias
