Mozambique Elections: Police says order and security in the country under control - O País

A new “terrorist attack” in the district of Macomia, Cabo Delgado, in the early hours of Tuesday morning has killed seven people and injured a further three, O País reports. Ntatenda reports nine deaths.
This is reportedly the second-largest attack attributed to the group known locally as Al-Shabaab. A total of 20 civilians have already been killed in Palma in less than a month, addds the same source.
Pinnacle News and Ntatenda report that more than 30 homes were burned down as their occupants slept. Many died from smoke inhalation and by machete, the same source adds.
Pinnacle News also reports that “at least four vehicles” were set on fire, and that, as a result of the attack, all seven nurses from the Naunde Health Unit were told to leave the area.
