Beira International Airport was reopened yesterday after a three-day closure. The president of the Board of Directors of Airports of Mozambique, Emanuel Chaves, told reporters that the minimum conditions for receiving aircraft had now been restored.
Chaves said that he had met, on Saturday, representatives of all the airlines that use Mozambican airports to announce the reopening of the airport, adding that the National Institute of Meteorology had replacements for damaged equipment and would install it this week.
Meanwhile, photos of the damage suffered emerge.
