UN Security Council considers action on Sudan war

The 6th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) held in Luanda, finished its work after thorough discussion of the scheduled issues.
The meeting was chaired by the President of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos, acting as chairman of the ICGLR.
The meeting assessed the previous year Angola’s mandate as acting president of the organization, as well as a report on the situation of peace and development in the region, especially for countries like CAR, DRC, South Sudan and Burundi.
Among the prominent figures of this 6th Summit of Heads of State and Government are president José Eduardo dos Santos (Angola), Joseph Kabila (DRC), Denis Sassou Nguesso (Congo), Yoweri Museveni (Uganda) and Jacob Zuma ( South Africa), the latter as an observer.
At this meeting, Angola started a new two-year term, after completing the first in the 2014-2015 period, which is expected with great anticipation to be completed successfully, the process of pacification of the region and the private sector investment initiatives for the development of the region.
