Tanselle presents "I Am", the second album by the Mozambican singer, composed of 14 tracks, mixing the styles of soul, jazz and afro. The album was produced in 2014 and was released in 2016 with the production of South African pianist Luyanda Madope. The rhythms present in the disc are a result of the influence that suffered in the countries where she lived before beginning her artistic race. Tanselle lived in South Africa, Swaziland, Angola and the United States.
The album features special performances by the renowned Mozambican musician Hortêncio Langa and the saxophonist Percy Mbonani. "I am" is the title that represents me as a woman, as an artist and as a Mozambican, "says Tanselle.
Tânia Celeste Manhiça, by the name of Tanselle, is the daughter of the ethnomusicologist and author of the National Anthem of Mozambique (Beloved Motherland), Salomão Manhiça.
The young woman embraced her musical career in 2009 and released her first album in 2012, "The African Spell."
