U.S. Embassy in Mozambique recruits business delegations for Trade Shows in the United States
Mutum by Guimarães Rosa
The film "Mutum", directed by Sandra Kogut is based on the work "Campo Geral" by Guimarães Rosa. The film won the award for best film at the 2007 Rio Festival, and was selected for the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.
"Mutum" is part of the program of the Guimarães Rosa Cinema Cycle, which consists of films inspired by the work of this Brazilian writer.
The film portrays the life of Thiago, a boy who lives next to his brother Felipe. This is his only friend, who, even when only 10 years old, managed to have a very different vision of the world. Through his eyes, he presents a different life perspective.
Thiago must face the lessons of life, violence and maturity. His childhood is slowly left behind, living in the dark and scary woods, but also full of complicity and jokes.
