Lecture session of the University of Porto
Camões – Centro Cultural Português in Maputo will host a lecture session of the University of Porto (Portugal), with the presence of the Vice-Rector Professor Fátima Marinho.
The session will feature the testimony of former students of the University of Porto and its main objective is to present the University to secondary school students, possible candidates for higher education in Portugal. The University of Porto has about 30,000 students, of which 14% are international. It is a University that covers several areas, divided into 14 Faculties: Faculty of Architecture; Faculty of Fine Arts; Faculty of Sciences; Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences; Faculty of Sport; Law School; Economics Faculty; Engineering Faculty; Faculty of Pharmacy; Faculty of Arts (with Humanities and Social Sciences); Faculty of Medicine; Faculty of Dental Medicine; Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and Biomedical Sciences Institute Abel Salazar.
The University of Porto has nine university residences, eleven canteens, sixteen libraries and free internet in all University buildings. The faculty is specialized and about 89% have the PhD's. Research at the University is internationally recognized and has excellent research centers in the areas of engineering, health, biodiversity, marine sciences and astrophysics.
