Contemporary dance: Politically Correct, with Domingos Bié
Exposing this relationship and the void that politics is made, or political discourse, can be a way of drawing attention to the need to look at politicians in a new way ... so that we can have a greater awareness of citizenship , so that in fact we can question them in greater depth.
But at the same time the exploitation of folk expression through the folkloric bodies that accompany political folklore may be a very revealing form of this ambiguity, of emptiness, but it lacks a more politically engaged society, capable of identifying much more easily these voids that politics establishes in the life of the citizens - the lie, the false promises etc.
The memory of the body, its relation to the social political reality, and the way in which Domingos Bie emerges without limit with its energy to an adrenaline-filled daily life. All this will be inscribed in a space and will relate to the increasing rhythm, a aesthetics and complex, objective, precise, harmonious and agitated body vocabulary, such as the day-to-day life of a Mozambican in his capital, 90% cosmopolitan, turning into a soil of extreme beauty.
Objectives
- Provide a reflection on the inclination in which society is changing
- Bring a show with simple access of perception and Beauty
- Provide also an artistic work accessible to all ages and social classes
- Confronting the professional and technical level of the artistic community through this show
