Two more people died of Ccovid-19 in Mozambique, bringing the number of deaths to 99, the Ministry of Health announced today.
The victims, a 57-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, were hospitalised in Maputo province and Maputo city, The diagnosis of the infection was made on the 30th of October and the 4th of November. The deaths occurred on Thursday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

Of the newly diagnosed cases reported today, 86 are Mozambicans and eight are foreigners.. All of them are local transmissions.
The city of Maputo remains the place with the most cases diagnosed in 24 hours, with 43, corresponding to 45.7%, followed by Sofala province with 19, the equivalent to 20.2%.
However, a further 98 people recovered from the virus, 58 in Maputo province, 24 in the Maputo city and 16 in Manica, bringing the total of recoveries to 11,275 (83%).
The city of Maputo has the highest number of active cases, a total of 1,625. It is followed by the province of Cabo Delgado, with 179, and the remaining provinces in the country have less than 160 active cases.
Since the announcement of the first infection on March 22, the country has tested a total of 196,793 suspected cases.
The key numbers as of this Friday are as follows: 99 deaths, 13,485 confirmed cases and 11,275 recoveries.
The Covid-19 pandemic has already claimed more than 1.2 million deaths in more than 48.7 million infection cases worldwide.
In Africa, there are 44,843 confirmed deaths in more than 1.8 million people infected in 55 countries, according to the most recent statistics on the continent’s pandemic.
The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late December 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
