Mozambique to get $350 mln in tax from gas deal: How to use this money?
On October 17th 2016, the President of the Republic of Mozambique Filipe Nyisi, appointed Leticia Klemens as the new Minister of Mineral Sources and Energy, in replacement of Pedro Couto.
Leticia Klemens was born in August 15th, 1972 in Maputo. Graduated in Communications in 1998 and in Law in 2005 by the Higher Polytechnic University Institute, Klemens is a well-known business woman.
According to “A Verdade” newspaper, Leticia founded PROSERV Mozambique a company dedicated to the fight against malaria. Furthermore, she is the chairman and founding member of the Association of Mozambican women entrepreneurs. By the time of her nomination, she was the chairman of the shareholders’ meeting of Millennium Bim- a Mozambican commercial bank.
