At the beginning of the second half, it seemed that Mozambique was up for a dream performance like the one against Angola in the quarter-finals. But it was not to be. With a comfortable advantage, the Malians headed into the last quarter with more confidence, scoring 20 points against the Mozambicans’ eight. The final score, 75-52, spelt disappointment for the national team.
