Mozambique: Cooperation with Equatorial Guinea in hydrocarbons - AIM report
The installation of a wind energy system in remote areas of Nampula starts this month. The first phase of the initiative, run by Italian company Ecólibri, will cover social institutions such as schools and hospitals.
Wind, sun and water are increasingly being used to generate electricity, and have the advantage of not releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, the main cause of global warming and climate change.
Following the example of Siteki, a city in neighbouring Swaziland, Nampula will be the first province in Mozambique to embrace the Ecolibri initiative, which is installing systems for the generation and supply of wind energy and aims to assist EDM provide electricity to hospitals and schools in rural areas.Source: TVM
