Mozambique: Police detain more than 1,000 in one week for border violations

The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) forecasts bad weather in the southern region of the country from this afternoon or evening.
There will be winds gusting up to 70 kilometres per hour and thunderstorms and showers.
The head of forecasting at INAM, Acácio Tembe, said the weather was caused by a low pressure thermal system affecting the whole southern part of Africa.
