Inhambane governor inaugurates marine research centre at Benguerra, Bazaruto Archipelago
Four individuals were arrested in the city of Maputo when they were caught trying to negotiate the sale of nine elephant tusks.
The police are trying to find out where the tusks came from, and think seven elephants may have been killed in the process.
In addition to the whole tusks, the four were also carrying pieces of raw ivory, worked ivory, and pieces of jewellery made of ivory including bracelets, beads and lion’s claws.Source: TVM
