The locality of Honde, in Báruè district, Manica province, used to have a local Renamo party headquarters. But due to the political-military tension, it had to be demobilized, reports O País’.
According to the same source, “with the truce, the Renamo men returned to the place in the attempt to reactivate the headquarters but found the flag of Frelimo hoisted there.”
“In an attempt to find out what was going on, the confusion began. While at it, two of the Renamo members have gone missing and the case is already with the police authorities, who promise to clarify it in due time,” reads the report.
