At a meeting held this Tuesday in Maputo with the Mozambican prime minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, the Turkish ambassador to Mozambique, Zeynep Kiziltan, expressed his country’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Mozambique in the areas of agriculture, infrastructure and energy, among others.
The two sides addressed a number of issues relating to cooperation, including as the need for more regular contacts between the countries’ business people. Ambassador Kiziltan stating said she would encourage Turkish businessmen to invest in Mozambique.
“Turkey and Mozambique have cooperated in the past, but after 2011, with the opening of an embassy in Mozambique, greater momentum has been visible. Cooperation is increasingly dynamic and there is a political interest in ensuring that things continue to flow in that direction,” Kiziltan said.
The Turkish diplomat positively evaluated cooperation between the two countries.
This is the first meeting that Kiziltan has had with the Mozambican prime minister since presenting her credentials to President Nyusi last October.Source: Rádio Moçambique
