The case of the 141-year-old voter: Zimbabwe ballot at risk
Voa / President Robert Mugabe at the National Heroes Acre on Thursday.
President Robert Mugabe on Wednesday appeared in public with an unfamiliar haircut, a bald head, which sent Twitter, Facebook and other social media on fire.
Social media enthusiasts had a field day. Mr. Mugabe normally has short hair and clean-shaven beard save for his traditional bearded spot under his nose.
Former Sunday Mail editor, Brezhnev Malaba, had this to say: “(President) Robert Mugabe never ceases to amaze! He has emerged clean-shaven at Heroes’ Acre. He looks 20 years younger! He has shaved off 20yrs!”
Not to outdone, Bulawayo-based media practitioner, Zenzele Ndebele, wrote on his Facebook page, “President Mugabe’s new hairstyle. Badzibaba Bob.”
Another journalist on Twitter wrote, “Might be first time I’ve seen him bald. Is this breaking news?”
An independent journalist had a special one. “Of short hair, wheel chair, sorry special massage chair and age; I have no money to do all those … airs but I have age on my side.”Source: VOA News
