Mozambican Airports announced last week that from December its 15 minutes free parking will be scrapped and vehicles will pay regardless of how long they remain in the airport precinct.
“As of 1 December, a new tariff will come into force at Maputo Airport car park. The 15 minutes’ grace (free parking) will be scrapped, and 25.00 meticais (single tariff) per hour or fraction thereof will be charged from the time of access,” the announcement published in the newspapers reads.
Nampula International Airport already charges all vehicles that enter the airport premises a flat fee of 20.00 meticais.
