South Africa / Mozambique: Lebombo border post adopts one-stop policy for festive travel

The Mozambican government, through the Mozambican Aviation Authority, launched a tender today Tuesday to explore domestic and regional routes from the country.
According to an announcement published in Notícias today all national operators for national and international routes and also domestic and foreign companies will be eligible to apply, provided that they hold the respective operating licenses issued by the Regulatory Authority of Civil Aviation in Mozambique, that is, the company must be registered in Mozambique.
With this announcement, there is room for new operators for routes such as Maputo-Chimoio, or Beira-Lichinga, withdrawing the monopoly of the Mozambican Airlines LAM.
