Mozambique: Government intends to formalise almost 190,000 traders
Rádio Moçambique
The government has written off the debts of more than 480 micro, small and medium-sized Mozambican companies with a total value of about 105 million meticais.
The debt amnesty comes as the result of a national campaign for the waiver of fines for companies voluntarily re-establishing the rights of abused workers or addressing violations detected by the labour inspectorate.
The information was made public on Thursday in Maputo by the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Vitoria Diogo, during the first Advisory Council of the General Labour Inspectorate.
