Mozambique Cabo Delgado Governor meets State agents and employees in Ibo Island

“Through this Memorandum of Understanding, we seek to strengthen and deepen the ties of economic friendship, cultural and human relations between our governments and people. We also wish to intensify and promote the free movement of persons and goods within the framework of existing regional agreements in order to encourage the economic and social integration. We want to grow our provinces so that our people can benefit, so that our provinces can develop economically and our countries can continue to take their places among the nations of the world …”
KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Mr Willies Mchunu remarked moments after him and his counterpart, the governor of Maputo Province, Raimundo Maico Diomba, signed a Memorundum of Understanding to renew bilateral cooperation between the two provinces.
This took place in Matola city, Maputo province.
Leader of South Africa’s Government Business and MEC for Economic Development, Tourism & Environment Affairs, Mr Sihle Zikalala together with MEC for Transport, Community Safety & Liaison Mr Mxolisi Kaunda were part of the delegation that accompanied the KZN premier to this auspicious event. High Commissioner at the South African Embassy in Mozambique, His Excellency Mandisi Mpahlwa honoured the event with his presence.
