Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosário is making a three-day working visit to the northern province of Nampula from today, during which time he will participate in the opening of the fourth National Religious Conference.
This event, motto ‘Consolidating Peace Environment in Mozambique’, is part of the ongoing dialogue between government, religious confessions and civil society.
“The meeting will explore this platform to promote a reflection and sharing of diverse opinions around relevant issues regarding peacekeeping in the country,” a press release from the Office of the Prime Minister received by AIM reads.
Among other activities scheduled for the visit, the Prime Minister will learn about socio-economic enterprises implemented in some parts of this province.
Do Rosário will visit Nampula city and Rapale and Monapo districts, where he will observe the degree of implementation of the government’s Economic and Social Plan (PES).
The Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Isac Chande, and bureau staff.
