The General Labour Inspectorate (IGT) has suspended three Chinese employees of China Super Scope Media for working illegally in Mozambique.
The workers were suspended during an inspection of the company’s central services in Maputo.
According to a Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security press release, the IGT uncovered illegal admission of three Chinese nationality workers, among other offenses.
The three concerned were found to be carrying out activities without observing the provisions of the Regulation Concerning Mechanisms and Procedures for the Hiring of Citizens of Foreign Nationality.
The regulation establishes that the hiring of foreign citizens is done by means of an application addressed to the minister who supervises the area of work or the entities concerned.
In addition to suspending the workers, the IGT will also fine the company, the statement adds.
