It looks like the high temperatures recorded in Mozambique, particularly in Maputo, from around 25 to 40° Celsius, are causing fires, reports Folha de Maputo today.
A fire erupted in Banco ABC located in downtown Maputo, on Tuesday, and today Wednesday, another fire broke out in the Home Centre Store, a large furniture shop located in Angola Avenue, Maputo.
Both fires were immediately extinguished without causing much material damage and both started in the respective refrigeration appliances (air conditioners), adds the same source.
