Five primary schools closed last year by ongoing political-military tension have now reopened, Arlindo Ngozo, Director of the District Service of Education, Youth and Technology of Gondola in Manica province made known on the margins of a meeting with district education sector staff.
The Gondola administrator, quoted by O País, asked teachers to convey to students the message that peace, threatened by military confrontations in recent years, had been restored.
Sixty-eight schools in the districts of Bárue, Mossurize, Gondola, Macossa, Manica and Tambara were forced to close their doors during the past year by ongoing political-military tension.
