Mozambican singer Isabel Novella. The call for applications is designed for Mozambican Artists or any Artists based in Mozambique.
The organisers of the Mozambique Music Meeting (MMM) are calling on musicians in that country to submit their applications to perform at the inaugural edition of the festival and music market in Maputo from 6 December to 10 December.
The event will enable artists to gain access to an audience of industry professionals, international media and new fans, the organisers said.
MMM will feature delegates from WOMEX & Piranha Arts (Germany), Sauti za Busara (Zanzibar), Foundation Casa da Música (Portugal), MIMO Festival (Brazil), WOMAD (UK), Sunfest (Canada), Visa For Music (Morocco), Sfinks Festival (Belgium), Festival Sur du Niger (Mali), Joy of Jazz (South Africa) and others.
The deadline for applications is 30 September 2017. All applicants will be notified of their status on or before 1 November 2017.

MMM is designed to celebrate cultural diversity through music, dance, fine arts, photography, food and crafts. The initiative not only aims to put Mozambique on the map of world cultural events but also promote Mozambican music and local artists, stimulate and raise the level of quality of local music, and attract an international audience by promoting tourism and the image of Mozambique abroad.
