A six-year-old girl was kidnapped this morning in Beira, Sofala, by a group of four individuals, armed and wearing masks.
The child was abducted in the Macúti neighbourhood, in the city of Beira, outside of a private school that teaches English language, where she was about to enter for another day of classes.
According to witnesses, who did not want to be identified, the vehicle in which the child was travelling when she arrived at school was being followed. From her car two children came out and, as the third child and their victim was just leaving the car, two armed men surrounded the vehicle, snatched her, took her into their car and fled.
The whereabouts of the child are unknown.
The identity of her relatives was not revealed either. However, witnesses say that the little girl is the daughter of business people living in Beira.
Police say they will speak about the case in due time.
