Mozambique: New project to protect biodiversity launched
The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) predicts moderate rain accompanied by thunder, and strong winds causing rough seas starting this afternoon.
The bad weather alert is for the following districts: Maputo (Matutuíne, Boane, Namaacha, Magude, Marracuene, Manhiça, Moamba and cities of Maputo and Matola); Gaza (Chibuto, Bilene, Guijá, Manjacaze and Xai-xai districts); Inhambane (districts of Zavala, Inharrime, Panda, Jangamo, Homoíne, Morrumbene, Massinga, Vilankulo, Inhassoro, Govuro and cities of Maxixe and Inhambane) and Sofala (districts of Machanga, Buzi, Muanza, Marromeu, Cheringoma, and cities of Beira and Dondo).
Winds of up to 60 km/h will cause waves up to four metres high.
