The Aga Khan Maputo Academy Professional Development Centre is to hold another training course for Mozambican graduates at its facilities in Matola.
This training will be preceded by a rigorous selection process to be carried out in collaboration with the Pedagogical University of Maputo, which has offered its support.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree obtained through a higher education institution in one of the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Physical Education, Performing Arts and Music Education. Good command of the English language is an asset, though not an exclusion factor.
Selected candidates will receive intensive training in Matola for two weeks next September. The best 12 candidates will be admitted. Subsequent to intensive two-week training, the top four trainees will be selected to attend a 12-month training course at the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa, Kenya, specialising in the internationally recognised International Baccalaureate curriculum. The training in Mombasa will be supported by the Aga Khan Academies Unit. Trainees who successfully complete the entire training program will have the opportunity to join the faculty (auxiliary or otherwise) at the Aga Khan Maputo Academy.
The application process is open until 18 May. The information and selection session will take place at the Pedagogical University at Lhanguene Campus on May 24 at 8:00 am.
