Theatre – The Prophecies of Zé
Due to the intimate and deep coexistence with Uncle Zé's poetic work, as the Mozambican poet José Craveirinha is affectionately treated, the Poetas de Rua, in the person of the director (Ndlhelene Cumbe), felt touched by a reality that surrounds the days that run through the texts of Ze. Which led the director to the drawing of the piece.
The Prophecies of Zé mirrors the deeper mission of the poets, sometimes imaginary, fictional, illusionist, surrealist and, above all, seers. This last ability to live in the future, which the poets have is the key mark for the birth of this mixture of poetry-theater-music in a normalized marriage and conditions for a balance between each world of the arts involved.
In order to have a sense of what is said about the return of the prophecies, let us look at one of its textual monuments (SIYA VUMA), where we affirm the reality of what is happening to us today, but prophesied at least five decades ago: SIYA VUMA.
“ ...

... Siya Vuma
We could continue the journey of this description, but to keep firm the idea that each one must take the part of his own interpretations we stop here and invite to see the play on stage.
Poetas de Rua - Who are they? What do they do?
ACPDR - Cultural Association Poetas de Rua, a group of young people who love art, with different inclinations, from music, theater and poetry. United for the preservation of civic values, stimulating reflection. Because of its disparity in the way of being and being on stage, the idea of uniting the differences in a single act arises, from which comes the idea of compiling music-theater-poetry in one piece, whose name derives from the most known of this matter, for us it suffices us to "Poetic Piece".
From the creation and re-creation, their work begins, starting at the end of 2013. Today they have a range of 7 to 8 pieces created and another range of 12 to 14 composite songs, played live and without pretense of recording yet.
