Theater: “Gandhi, a leading server”
The play "Gandhi, a leading server" is a monologue of global actor Joao Signorelli. The play has been performed in Brazil since 2003, with great public and critical success.
Gandhi announces the beginning of another fast to awaken the consciousness of the leaders of the West and the East for world peace. The fast that he proposes is that people stop feeding on unbalanced thoughts, prejudices and dark feelings. It invites the audience to make a long and sensitive reflection on leadership, non-violence and introduces ethical-philosophical principles in human relations, talking about integration, cooperativism and love. For the Mahatma there was no difference between this or that: ALL are human (and spiritual) beings seeking earthly experiences to attain new consciousness and evolve more quickly. In the end he talks about his trajectory as leader, about the importance of the unique conduct and invokes the faith. Joao Signorelli has appeared in telenovelas and television miniseries such as Salve Jorge, Araguaia, Caminho das Índias, Amazônia, by Galvez a Chico Mendes, América, Grande Sertão: Veredas and Bebê a bordo, among other works.
