On the way to the Mafalala Festival: Art in Mafalala
Theater for the little ones – “Who rules in the jungle”
"Who Rules in the Jungle" is a text adapted from the children's book by writer Dany Wambire. The story recounts the exploits of friends Leo and Cat who decide to declare themselves kings of the jungle of Gorongosa and the locality of Nhambita, without caring about the will of the animals that inhabit these regions. Blinded by the ambition for power, the Lion as well as the Cat spare no effort to achieve their goals, eventually becoming arrogant and insensitive leaders before their own. Which in a way sounds like a satire against the vices that sick the leaders of our country and, without a doubt, a call of attention to the youngest to be guided by more dignified attitudes. With a cast consisting of three actors, it is intended to make "Who rules in the jungle", an interactive show, exploring games and atmospheres typical of childhood, in order to invite the spectators (children) to embark on this dramatic adventure and full of surprises.
