U.S. Embassy in Mozambique recruits business delegations for Trade Shows in the United States
Tanselle live at Uptown Café
Tânia Manhiça or commonly known as Tanselle is a Mozambican singer with a unique voice.
Daughter of an ethnomusicologist, Tanselle began singing in church, but it was in the project "Sensasons" that her musical talent was "presented" to the world. Alongside great artists like Moreira Chonguiça, Lenna Bahule and Simba, Tanselle decided to let go of the spell that is in herself and raise her voice.
Owner of an unusual voice, the artist's inspiration comes from everyday life, from her beliefs and affirmations as a woman and a human being. Tanselle carries an energy and an unconditional love to the "beloved homeland". It is not only because the national anthem is signed by Salomão Manhiça who is her father, but the young artist is enchanted with everything that surrounds her in Mozambique. One of her charms is freedom, one of those things that has a sacred value for an artist who lives intensely every minute of her life as a mother, a businesswoman and a flautist. After living in Washington and Pretoria, Tanselle was influenced by artists such as Rebecca Malope, Joyous Celebration, Steve Wonder, Whitney Houston and others. Upon returning home, Dua, Lenna Bahule, Yolanda Kakana and Isabel Novella are the top national in their playlist.
