Delmiro Escrivão and Friends
Delmiro Jaime António Escrivão (Beira, April 9, 1992) better known as Delmiro Escrivão is a Mozambican singer and songwriter, the son of Honório Escrivão (teacher) and Ana Jaime (anesthesia technique). Delmiro is the eldest of two sisters who follow him (Elisandra and Annette). Delmiro used to listen to Brazilian and some Portuguese music, influenced by his parents, particularly his mother, when he left the house looking at studios and producers, because he easily identified with R&B that kept him close to other new artists most were just rappers. He taught himself to sing and play music. He is a fan of Usher, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Nelson Freitas, Johnny Ramos and so on. He started by visiting some not-so-quality studios and even hip-hop recording with his neighbors. Meanwhile doing his secondary level and performing child duties as it should be. After finishing 12th grade in 2009 he took some intensive courses that developed his English and had more time for music. And in the same year, he participated in the last edition of FAMA SHOW (a reality show of talent discovery) where he did not win.
